IMPORTANT: Right after you submit a code, can you please check on UVA's last 50 submission here: http://uva.onlinejudge.org/index.php?option=com_onlinejudge&Itemid=19 and then hover on your username (which hopefully still shows up).
I need your userid, it looks something like http://uva.onlinejudge.org/index.php?option=com_onlinejudge&page=show_authorstats&userid=19089 —> 19089 is my userID (the page won't open, but you don't need to, I just need the link)
Weekly Contest 4
Apparently holidays mean participation rate is even lower (including from me). Here's another set of problems. Let's make this one due 31 July 2010, which is the day of the ACM training session. Please also try the older questions if you haven't done so.
I should also share this site: http://uvatoolkit.com/problemssolve.php . It lets you try different inputs (that you make yourself) to see what the output is. It also gives you hints on what the question is about.
Weekly Contest 3
With exams going on, I don't think anyone will be too interested in doing the questions, but now it is almost over, so here is the next set. I'll be awaiting submission until 5 July 2010.
These questions are simulation of games. I hope that makes it more interesting.
Weekly Contest 2
I understand it is exam preparation time, so the deadline is Sunday, 14th June, and hopefully these questions are easier. Also, I feel uneasy about copying and pasting the question to our wiki, so I won't put the question on the wiki page; you'll just find the link and a space for discussion.
The focus this week is on dynamic programming, and I do hope that the questions I chose are quite straightforward.
Weekly Contest 1
The deadline was Sunday May 30th, 2010.
Here are the problems:
